This time, I want to tell you about how I applied for a Cambodia e-Visa all by myself online — yes, even in my seventies! ✨

It was easier than I thought, and I want to share every step so you can do it without worries. I’ll tell you like I would tell my children and grandchildren — slowly, carefully, and from real experience. 🌸

 

✨ What’s New in 2025?

🛂 e-Visa (Tourist T / Business E): From Jan 1, 2025, the official government fee is Tourist $30 and Business $35.

🛬 e-Arrival (CeA): A digital arrival card (immigration, customs, health).

• 📅 Introduced July 1, 2024 — paper forms ended June 30.
• 🏯 Available at airports from Sept 1, 2024 (Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville).
• ✅ Mandatory from Jan 2025 — must complete within 7 days before arrival.

1️⃣ Homepage — Start Application

Click “Application” on https://www.evisa.gov.kh/ 💻.
⚠️ Only use this official site — never agencies or copycats.

2️⃣ Security Captcha

Type the letters shown 🖊️ to prove you’re human, then continue.

3️⃣ Upload Passport

Click Scan Passport and upload your passport scan 📷. The system auto-reads details.

👉 “Scan Passport section — upload a clear passport scan for automatic data reading.”

4️⃣ Fill Personal Information

Enter your name, phone, email, home address, and Cambodian stay address 🏠.

5️⃣ Upload Photo & Confirm

Upload a passport-style photo 📸 (recent, plain background).

⚠️ Even if the system pulls your photo automatically from your passport scan, the official requirement is to upload a recent photo separately. This ensures your e-Visa certificate shows a clear, valid picture for immigration officers.

6️⃣ Choose Visa Type

• 🌿 Tourist T ($30) if you’re visiting.
• 💼 Business E ($35) if for business.
  Then select your intended entry date, port of entry, and upload supporting documents (flight, hotel booking).

👉 “Choose your visa type (Tourist T or Business E) and select your intended entry date & port.”

7️⃣ Review → Pay → Print

🔎 Review details

💳 Pay online (Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, Alipay, WeChat)

⏳ Wait (officially ~3 business days, mine came in 2 days!)

🖨️ Print 2 copies of your e-Visa certificate

 

📩 e-Visa Approval Email & Certificate

Just two days after my application, I received the official approval email from the Cambodian government.
The email contained important reminders and instructions, along with the official e-Visa certificate (PDF attachment).

👉 You must print at least two copies of this certificate:

• One copy to hand over at immigration on arrival
• One copy to keep for departure or as a backup
  💡 Black-and-white printing is also acceptable, as confirmed in the email.

👉 “Official Cambodia e-Visa approval email — received just 2 days after submission, with reminders and download instructions.”

👉 “Cambodia e-Visa certificate (PDF) — print at least 2 copies, in color or black & white, to present at immigration and keep a spare.”

⚠️ Grandma’s Important Warning

When I first googled “Cambodia e-Visa,” many fake sites appeared.
👉 The only official website is https://www.evisa.gov.kh/.

❌ Fake sites may:

• Overcharge you 💰
• Steal personal info 🔒
• Never deliver your visa ⛔

💡 Always check the address ends with .gov.kh.

🌿 Cambodia e-Arrival (CeA) – Mandatory from Sept 1, 2024

Starting September 1, 2024, the Cambodian government officially requires all travelers (both locals and foreigners) to complete the e-Arrival (전자입국신고) system before entering the country.
This new digital system completely replaces the old paper arrival cards that used to be filled out on airplanes or at airport counters.

• ✍️ Accommodation details can be edited later

1️⃣ Access the e-Arrival Page

👉 “Official Cambodia e-Visa website — click ‘Submit e-Arrival’ in the top menu to begin the arrival declaration.”

From the official evisa.gov.kh site, click “Submit e-Arrival” in the top navigation bar.
This link will take you directly to the Cambodia e-Arrival portal.

 

2️⃣ e-Arrival Main Page

👉 “Cambodia e-Arrival portal main page — travelers must submit their online arrival form within 7 days before arrival. Click ‘Submit e-Arrival’ to start.”

On the main page, click the blue “Submit e-Arrival” button.

• 📝 No account is required.
• 📱 You can also choose to complete the form using the official mobile app (iOS / Android).

 

3️⃣ Fill in Personal Information

👉 “e-Arrival personal information form — enter passport number, issuing country, expiry date, and name exactly as shown on your passport.”

Here, fill in the details exactly as written in your passport:

• Passport number & issuing country
• Expiry date
• Full name (surname / given name)
• Gender, date of birth, country of birth

Later steps will also ask for:

• Flight and arrival information
• Address in Cambodia
• Customs declaration
• Health declaration

 

4️⃣ Get Your QR Code

• 📧 Receive QR by email
• 📱 Save on your phone + 🖨️ print a copy
• Replaces all paper forms
